General questions

Yes, if your NDIS package includes massages, you will able to cover the massage cost with NDIS. The best way to find out if massage therapy is covered by your NDIS funding is to chat with your fund manager to double-check what is and isn’t covered.

Unfortunately due to my foreign diploma, I am not able to register with health funds, therefore you will not be able to use private health rebates.

No, unfortunately I am not able to provide shower for customers.

I offer professional remedial, sport, hot stone, pregnancy and postnatal massage therapy. For details about massages, please see the informations under the 'services' menu.

I love using hot stones during massages, because of that hot stone therapy is included in every session, except pregnancy massages.

It depends on your condition. For an average person with no issues I always recommend aiming for a once a month massage treatment. If you have high fitness goals, or have a long standing problem, a more regular visit would be beneficial.

I use only natural nutritious organic oils, what most of the time I mix myself. Usually I use sweet almond oil, apricot oil, sunflower oil, cocoa butter, mango butter, coconut oil. If you have a special request, please feel free to contact me.

I ask my clients to keep the underwear on and all other clothes off.

My space is partly wheelchair accessible. It is easy to enter the house, however the door to the massage room is quite narrow, and depending on the wheelchair, it might not be able to fit through. Please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to discuss the details with you.

Pregnancy massage questions

You can get a pregnancy massage from a certified pregnancy massage therapist from the first week till the last week as soon as you are healthy. I have an advanced pregnancy massage practitioner certificate, so you will be in safe hands with me.

If you had complications but you are feeling fine now, I will need a medical clearance from your doctor to be able to treat you.

During pregnancy massage I have to position you comfortably and safely. The treatment needs to be more gentle in certain areas, and the focus is to reduce the pregnancy symptoms like lower back pain, leg cramps and prepare the body for labor (hip area).

Receiving a massage regularly or occasionally during pregnancy is so beneficial. The treatments help to reduce pregnancy symptoms like back and hip pain, leg cramps, swollenness in body. Also helps with insomnia, emotional stress and anxiety.
Postnatal massage questions

After a complicated free vaginal birth, you can have a massage anytime you feel ready. After a cesarean birth, I need you to have a medical clearance from your doctor which usually can be received after 6 weeks.

Postnatal (postpartum) massage is a type of therapy used to aid the body's recovery after giving birth. The massage can help your aching muscles to relax, lowers stress hormones, increases circulation, promotes lymphatic drainage and may help you to process the emotional side of birth too.

Beneficial to get weekly or fortnightly massages in your postpartum period, as it helps your recovery immensely. While you may wish to get massaged every week for the first 12 weeks after you give birth, you may also want only one massage, listen to your body.
Abdominal and C-section scar release questions

You must be minimum 8 weeks post surgery. Your scar must be completely healed and have no scabbing parts. With a fresh scar, I will ask you to have a doctor clearance before your first treatment. Also important, you have to feel comfortable to be touched on your scar. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Scar release massage contraindications are the following: you cannot have a scar massage treatment if your wound is open / infected, you have a hernia mesh, you are less then 8 weeks post surgery, you are pregnant and are in the first trimester. If you have any questions, or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

The session starts with a consultation, following with a breath assesment. Then starting the manual therapy with the upper abdominal and breath restriction release, abdominal wall restriciton release, hips and lower abdominals release, scar release. I might use some tools like cups, gua sha, hot stones. After the session I give you homework to do.

Everybody is different, and every scar is different. I recommend to have the first 3 treatments in 3-4 weeks. The closer the treatments are the faster and visible the results will be. Most clients start to feel proper difference after the second or third treatment.

Absolutely! Either you had tummy tuck, hysterectomy, myomectomy, laparoscopic surgeries, cancer/tumor removals, appendix scar, hernias (if not treated with mesh), bowel resections, abation surgeries, you can have an abdominal scar release treatment.

No, the treatment is not painful. Some areas might feel tender, or strange, but definitely not painful. It is quite relaxing feeling actually.
